Eric Chabrow, who writes the blog The Public Eye for Gov Info Security, predicts the likelihood of President Obama signing a cybersecurity bill this year is quickly diminishing:
Ask Capitol Hill odds makers, and the likelihood of any significant cybersecurity legislation reaching President Obama's desk this year is 50-50, at best. Those odds diminish as we close in on the November election, and senators and representatives concentrate more on getting reelected than passing legislation.
